To be honest it doesn't matter the subject, although I prefer going at it about current events, I just like to stretch the intellectual muscle. One of my friends and I even have this game where we switch sides, and he argues the more conservative side (Very me, not very him) and I go at it from the liberal side (Very him, not me). But we still argue and bring point after counter-point.

I know that may make me sound like I am antagonistic, however I do like to keep the peace. If things turn into an argument, or devolve into fighting or being petty, I am the first one to stop and try and ease the conversation in a new direction.

Somewhere between the realm of a nerd and your average Joe is where you'll find me.

I'm 23, living in Texas, and am currently at a point in my life where I'm desperately trying to decide who I want to be and who I CAN be. I would certainly call myself an avid dreamer, thinking of the vast possibilities life can produce as well as those not so possible fantasies that are still fun to think about.

Technology and I are good friends as well. While I may not know the ins and outs of a PC, I adore using them to death and you'd often find me sitting in front of one at any given moment. I'm also a gamer and love toying with just about any new gadget that comes out.

I am a 26 year old college student. Currently i am attending the University of Texas at San Antonio, and am enrolled in their College of Architecture. I commute to San Antonio on a daily basis to attend school, so that i can continue working in my current job. I work at a prosperous residential architecture firm located in Austin, where i am a cad drafter, and create 3d computer generated models of our houses. I suppose this is the bit where I write something clever about myself and come off looking like a step down from a pop star or a major athletic demi-god (but just a little step). That's not really me though.

Well, I think it's about time I re-vamp this thing... I'll probably be taking some time off of here, but I still check it every once in a while.

I'm a single dad with custody of two little boys. For some reason, people think that means I want a mommy for them and instant family. Then they run away screaming. That is most assuredly not the case. I'm independent and a good daddy/father. I can handle it myself. They are 6 and 9 and I love them dearly. The older just completed his first triathlon and I'm incredibly proud of him.

I've been spending more time taking care of myself and getting things on track. I've lost 20lbs. and counting. I've started riding my bicycle back and forth to work and have been helping a friend of mine prepare for her triathlons. I lift weights 3 times a week and run, swim and bike on the other days. I did the Urban Assault Ride this past summer. Possibly a few triathlons before too long. Please note that I'm doing this for me and the benefit of my children and not for anyone else.

I have two Aussie Blue Heelers (Blueberry: Female, Oreo: Male) that go most everywhere with me (camping, sailing, etc). They are part of the family. They are very loving and great snugglers.

I'm a knowledge junkie and love to learn things. I tend to surprise people with my intellect. They assume that since I can bench press 350lbs, I'm a moron... Doom on them... (if you can catch the literary reference, please e-mail me.)

Before my corporate life, everyone knew me as a really quiet and shy guy. Since then I've been in my element, and professionally I am quite the confident employee. I'm a daydreamer, a proud car singer and capable of being on my own. I take care of myself and like to take care of others if I can. And while I can totally get the cockroaches out of my house on my own, there are days when I really wish someone would take care of that for me. I think I do what everyone else does, and try to be a good and decent person. I do have a tendency to speak without thinking and can come off ditzy for some reason or another, usually because my brain is somewhere else. Some days I'm a little slow, but oh well. It happens.

Iâ??m looking for something extraordinary. No booty calls, no hook ups, no couples right now. Possibly casual, possibly open, possibly serious, Iâ??m open minded. Just something more. I've started making my own wine at home. Someday, maybe I'll be able to make it commercially. Meanwhile, I'm learning in my kitchen.

I've also recently completed a motorcycle safety course and have gotten my first bike. A 2005 Honda Shadow Spirit 750. It's black with red flames on the tank. So if you see a chick in bright pink and black jacket and helmet on a cruiser with red flames on the tank, there's a good possibility that it's me. I'll post some pics one of these days.

I am honest, loving and a great listener. I also have a people pleasing attitude. I love doing nice things for people - just because. I always remember the little things, like your favorite ice cream flavor, cartoon character or how you like your latte after the first time you tell me. In general I like to be in control by taking care of my friends and loved-ones. While I am not an all-out butch, I definetly have those qualities.

I've lived here for 5 years, but i feel like there's so much of Austin that I haven't seen/done. church is really important to me, I love going, love serving, and try to be as involved as much as possible.

I'm the last person that should be explaining myself, but i'll try my best. All these words pretty much just limit myself as well as anyones imagination of me, but whatever. Obviously I say a lot when there isnt much to be said. I guess i could say i can sniff out bs from a mile away but who am i to judge, afterall its something throw out there just as easily. In essense i'm trying to find out all the big mysteries in life, (not to sound too cliche) but the more i look the futher lost i find myself in the abyss; so pretty much i've given up and am gonna count my loses. Hell, whats next, umm... i guess the general interests, the regulars that always pop up: reading, writing, music, movies, "partying it up" so to speak. i guess i'm done for right now...

well im a pretty down to earth person i like to have fun and im fun to be with. i like to meet people who i can just be myself around with out any problems most of all i like to meet someone who i can be honest and faithful to and i get the same in return. Well crap. Ok. I'm me. Not you. I don't wanna be you or anything like you, or them for that matter so don't take it personally. I find it funny that Yiddish is actually a Language you can select. oy vey I'm feeling a little verklempt.

Jumping right in, here's a few of what I consider to be my finer qualities:
I wash my sheets every week, shower daily, brush my teeth twice a day, always wash my hands after I use the bathroom, and I keep my toilet clean. I have a housekeeping service come every other week, otherwise my house would be a total mess. I'm told I'm funny and couldn't live without laughter. I try to stay in shape, though I don't have six pack abs. I do my own laundry (except drycleaning) and I do know how to seperate lights and darks. I read. It's usually in bed but I manage to burn through a book a week. I can sing, and love to. I don't do it in public often. I like to be around people. It may not always seem that way when first intoduced to a new group as I can be a little quiet at first, but really I'm just observing which I think is a good way to get to know people. I'm a good driver (won't jinx myself with the details). I can cook a few dishes, and like to when I have someone to cook for besides myself.

I grew up in upstate NY. I probably wasted more opportunities than I care to think about, but I had some fantastic experiences to carry with me and learn from. I spent several years in Nashville before I relocated to Austin three years ago. Admittedly I wasn't immediately fond of our fare city but she's grown on me and right now I can't see myself living anywhere else.
There's plenty to do here in Austin but I probably spent too much time dwelling on what I'd left behind in Nashville so I only recently (like this year) really started exploring, so I guess I could still be classified as a Austin noob.

I love to laugh. I am self motivated, most of the time. I love what I do for a living. Being a dad is the most important thing to me. I am a bit of a dreamer but that helps me with growing my business. I am not good at filling these things out. I am better at working with my hands rather than typing. My day to day life is pretty simple I work alot, Spend as much time with my boy as I can, go see my friends, spend time with my family and go to church on sunday. I like to travel and experience new things. My faith is Important to me, but I am not a relegious person. I don't like judgemental people. Everyone has something good to offer if you get to know them.

I love to laugh and enjoy being around positive people. I am honest, sincere, intelligent, love my family, and have a great sense of humor. I love cool mountains, walks on the beach or by a lake at sunset, tubing down a river, Spring and Fall, picnics, swimming, boating, country western dancing, watching football games, and gatherings of family and friends.

Lets see....summary about me......well I'm very laid back and easy to get along with. Love to play guitar and keyboard as a hobby. Also into sports and just living a healthly lifestyle...I do like to get out and check the music scene now and then. Oh am into computers and programming as well.

Whats else? I guess I do kickboxing and run daily. I'm on a volleyball league and play tennis on the weekend. I love to hang out with friends on the weekend as well, and usually am at barton springs, or somewhere outside. Lately been having the urge to travel more. For my job I travel all over Texas, but would like to get out of the state and/or country for a vacation sometime soon.

I am orginally from the Bay Area but have grown to love Austin. I'm a big Texas Longhorn football fan since graduating, and am hoping for a good season this year.

I'd say I'm a pretty positive person and like to live life to its fullest. I'm very open minded and considerate to others and always lend an hear or a hug whenever needed.

I will put much muc more here and let it bake, wiating to find/be found by the one I am looking for. I am poly - believing swinging is really just poly without much emotional investment. I am bi, belieiving sex with men is not wrong. I lean probably 70% attraction to women, 30% to men. I have been witht both, like them together preferabbly :)

Let's switch things around a little bit....First off....I don't have a daddy complex, so if you're over 45, please don't even bother sending me a message. If you're in a relationship of any sort, don't message me either.
I'm not your usual girl. Very low maintenance...I'm not afraid to get dirty. There isn't much of a happy middleground with me. People either love me or they hate me. I'm very direct and I shoot straight from the hip. I call it as I see it. (sometimes that doesn't go over so well...but at least everyone knows where they stand with me). I love my friends to death and will walk through fire for them if needed.
If you have a lot of money, that's great for you. But please don't try boasting about it or using it as a "carrot" to dangle - because it won't work on me. I'm not a gold digger and I cannot be "bought" in any sense of the word. Lol It would be nice if you already make enough to take care of yourself.

i've recently moved to austin and i'm looking for other Christians to hang out with. if i find something more than just a friend that would be great as well.

With all these other boxes to fill out that aren't mandatory it is hard to figure out just what to put here... I think my best feature is my personality. I know I know, that usually means ugly, but I'm not:P I just think that the way people get to like me is more through how I interact with them than how I look. Which is exactly how I think it should be. Someone who is stunning with zero personality isn't going to make for a lasting relationship, right? Of course, there has to be some physical attraction, but that can't be the only thing. I am open and honest, and I don't shy down from my weak points. I am constantly trying to make myself a better person and the only way to do that is to be honest with myself, and have them be honest with me. Seriously, if there is anything you want to know, ask. Conversation is the way two people will know if they are right for each other, not a blurb they put about themselves on a website that is read by someone else.

hmmm, ... I think I'm smarter than the average bear, but then sometimes I just think I'm lucky. I love all kinds of music!! Pretty much the only kinds I don't like are the new hip hop (ie. party like a rock star) and this new fad in country where they want to rock out but they just suck (ie. all that country crap I have to listen to on thurs nights). I don't like big crazy parties or clubs; I like to keep it pretty low key and chill. Personality wise: I think I'm pretty hard to put into a few succinct sentences... so I won't. I know people like me though.... usually... unless they're stupid, then I let them know I don't like them...

I wrote that for this site about 5 years ago and I still like it; just doesn't feel right to delete it. And in addition to that I think it still holds true.

I've been in several serious relationships since then but it seems they weren't fated to last. It's currently just me and my dog moving from one phase in life to another. I take things as they come and hope for the best when I get them. I'm not the type to take too many things overly serious, but those things I value I hold very close.

Connecting with someone on any degree is most likely one of the most important things to me. Nothing can really top having friendships and people in your life that you care about. This is only made better when the people care back.

I'm pretty sure I will forever be pegged as "the nice guy" and I'm OK with that. I've spent most of my life with the mentality that results from that and it shows in how I treat other people.

Some generic facts:
-I've lived in all 4 corners of the US for at least a year each, but have yet to live in the Mid-west.
-After living everywhere else I still keep coming back to Austin.
-I enjoy road trips; more so when they can be shared.
-Other people's interests become my interests when they can show me why they enjoy them so much.
-I might care too much about making other people happy, but when I do it's more rewarding because of that.
-I've learned that communicating is so ridiculously important to any level of relationship....from my guy friends to any sort of serious dating.

Overall I don't think I could properly describe myself in text and would suggest trying to contact me for the best results. =)

Im sweet, witty, very passionate, and can have a quiet side at times. I like to hang out with friends. I prefer to be out and about then just stay at home, but usually doesn't happen. I'm not much of a writer but I do write short stories from time to time. Soon I'll be finally done with collage. But looking for a good job requires a good skill and soon I'll have it. YAY!

This essay is too short you say? I'll show you! Let's start with a brief list of things that I'm not good at: astrophysics (tried once, got a D), spelunking (although survived the two times I've been), rocket science (Although I can provide some good references), olympic ski-jumping (ask me why), log-rolling, putting laundry away, hair-styling, horse-rearing, shoe-cobbling, speling, going to bed on time, zookeeping, painting with oils, hopscotch, or chimney-sweeeping.

Questions that irk me: "Hey, you have a truck, right? Whatcha doing next weekend?", "Ready to go?" Questions I irk people with: "When's lunch?", and "When are you getting that guy's crap out of our garage?" (to my roommate, I hope he reads this).

I tend to be a pretty laid back, easy going kind of guy. I've worked hard to get where I'm at and am now trying to enjoy living life. I'm not a push over, but I try to keep absurd drama out of my life. I don't need things going all haywire just for S&G's. ;-)

Here I am summing up myself. I have an upbeat sense of humor, I can find fun in almost any activity. I enjoy outdoors, music, people watching, movies, festivals, amusement parks or just quiet times with someone special. I am a hostage held by 1 bird ( he's my boy, He would get more dates than I would. He's a better flirt and can get away with a lot more than me. Yes he talks. " Hi cutie cutie " and " Want some Kiss's " are two of the things he says the most ). He is not a small bird. he is 36 inch's head to tail. I grew up in IN and spent 30yrs in CA and a few other states. Now for the last 5yr here. I'm a Austin transplant. I have played in many bands and how play for fun. I am down to earth .

One of my good friends once told me that it's really easy to figure out what kind of guy I am but you could know me your whole life and never know everything about me. While I think that is definitely true I will do my best to describe myself here:

I am fortunate enough to be surrounded by good people and good friends that are always there for me and I for them. I'm the guy my friends and family go to for advice or an ear to bend. People tend to be intimidated by my look and my intensity at times but I'm actually a very approachable person who is friendly, sensitive, observant, and caring. I LOVE playing disk golf. If I didn't suck I would try doing it for a living lol. When in a relationship I am very affectionate (I love to hold hands, kiss, hug, and cuddle). I take one day at a time. I'm loyal and will be there for you when you need me. I have never cheated on anyone. I like to cook and have mastered the bachelor's art of making something tasty out of whatever is available. I am at a point in my life where I don't feel like I need a woman in my life but I would very much like to have someone to share my life with. I miss the feelings that come with a loving relationship and I am ready to see if I can find something that will last.

Sense of humor, dark on occasion, but open hearted..yep that me. Sarcastic but never cruel. Cruelty is a HUGE turn off.

I am interested in art and crafts. I like to create new things. Travel and exploring things new are important to me.

I'm a pretty typical guy. I think girls are beautiful. I like to watch football. I work an 8-5 corporate job that allows for a comfortable living. I enjoy traveling. I'm originally from Missouri, but I live in Texas now. Personal motto: "Life's too short to miss out on good times."

I love to listen to live music. I love movies and television. I can be a bit random with my sense of humor, but most people seem to like it.

Moderation, beauty, exploration and cultivation are qualities I admire. By increasing my proximity to those who possess qualities that I admire I continue to learn. I'm not really looking for someone like me, more a mutually complementary companion. I am a successful abstract stone sculptor. I value education for its own sake at take a few interesting classes every couple years. I never pursued a degree but have attended half a dozen universities. I recently realized that I am living the life I'd always dreamed of. I understand that there is still plenty of room for personal growth and that I have enough goals to keep me motivated.

Where to start? Im trying to avoid using the phrase "finding myself" but that's what I'm doing.
